Classic from a bygone era.
Wow! Just found this flier for me and Juan Mapu's old psychedelic rock night at the Monkey Room on 187th. That place was a lot of fun. Haven't been for a few years, but I'll try to get the camera up there soon and kick down a report.
Now for a true gem of a bygone era click let Josh Music and Early Mike melt your ears off with Spirits of Turpentine!

Katherine Sharpe
Holy Modal Rounder! I just found out my good friend and occasional fencing partner Katherine Sharp is writing this thing for ReadyMade magazine. You should totally go check it out right now! It's about not using plastic for a week.
What does that mean? You ask. Go find out dude.
I wrote something for ReadyMade once. It was about this guy who made a wine-rack out of a box-spring for his cool, little coffee shop in Burlington Vermont. Never got paid. Could really use that $100 right now Shoshana.
All that aside I do really dig the magazine, and Katherine. She publishes 400Words. It's sweet.
So is she, but her writing packs a powerful punch.
Katherine Sharpe. Check her out!

Carla Torres
So, do you remember our friend who brought us the huge, mind-numbingly delicious Tiramisù a few weeks back. Well she moved into the building with an illustrator named Carla Torres whose illustrations rocked me from my neck to my knees. Her site is really worth a look.
They also had the best housewarming party I've been to in years.
